Well done for sticking it out through the most gruelling and grim of times. What a bully and spiteful person your ex was. the relief to be as far away from him must be palpable. With hindsight it must be a relief not to have had children was such a horrible nasty person. Gosh you are so much better off , in a better place and now in a better frame of mind.
