why you should visit
WHEN: Sunday 15th March 2009 – 10am to 5pm
WHERE: Old Ship Hotel, Brighton
WHAT IS IT:
The Starting Over Show is the first UK event to help people bounce back from relationship break ups and life crises. On the day, we’ll create a safe haven in which soon-to-be singletons can take professional advice to build the confidence and skills they need to go it alone. Over 140,000 UK couples divorce each year, not to mention the thousands of co-habiting couples who need to extricate themselves from shared mortgages and lives. Some civil partnerships are now breaking down too. Since south coast towns suffer from some of the UK’s highest divorce rates, Brighton is a fitting setting for our first event.
The Starting Over Show is the first event of its kind in the UK and has been designed to provide useful information, expert advice, resources and support to anyone who has experienced a relationship break up or significant life crisis or change, all under one roof.
The Starting Over Show has been created to help individuals challenge and address their anxiety and fears, to think and act positively about their situation and to take control of their lives and future.
Suzy Miller, founder and producer of the Starting Over Show believes that everyone who has experienced a traumatic or significant life change or crisis is entitled to high quality professional advice and a vision of a better future.
The break down of a relationship is just one of many situations that can change our lives. Bereavement through loss of a partner, child, family member or friend, retirement, redundancy, injury, illness, abusive or damaging situations or even children leaving home can alter our paths for ever and cause us to feel lost.
The Starting Over Show aims to provide the perfect way to find yourself again and is all about Useful Information – Honest Communication – Personal Transformation
